West Virginia Mental Health Services

West Virginia Mental Health Services

We stand for families seeking connection.

Living with a mental health diagnosis can feel scary, lonely, confusing — at times, even insurmountable. It is our belief that no one should be left feeling alone without a light to guide the way.

We built our Mental and Behavioral Health Services to ensure youth and families have access to evidence-based and research-supported treatment that is driven by their strengths and goals. We aim to increase resiliency in our youth, empowering them to embrace and enhance the capabilities, knowledge, skills, and assets that have been within them all along.

Wraparound Program

We take a comprehensive, holistic, family-focused approach to serious mental health or behavioral challenges. Our Wraparound Program puts youth and their families at the center of a team of professionals and natural support systems. The care and treatment we design is uniquely fitted for each individual, driven by each family’s ideas and perspectives. The Wraparound Program works intensely with youth and their families for one year.

The Impact of Wraparound
  • Increases families’ confidence and resiliency by identifying and enhancing the capabilities, knowledge, skills, and assets already present.
  • Builds a team of professionals and natural supports to assist parents and caregivers according to a collaborative plan that heeds the family’s voice and choice.
  • Empowers families to make positive changes in a process that demonstrates respect for the values, preferences, beliefs, and culture of the child/ youth, and their family

Children with Serious Emotional Disorders Waiver (CSEDW) Program

Youth struggling with serious emotional disorders may experience extended periods of high level anxiety, abnormal mood swings, distorted thinking, or bizarre motor acts. Our CSEDW Wraparound Program provides the same level of care as our standard Wraparound Program but for more targeted groups.

Our CSEDW Therapy Program offers intensive home- and office-based therapy services for youth receiving Wraparound care. CSEDW services can be provided for as long as the youth meets medical eligibility.
