Our Goals
- Nutritious, Balanced Meals: All meals provided through our program meet or exceed the standards set by the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
- Inclusive Access: We ensure that all students have access to healthy breakfast and lunch options every school day.
- Safe Food Practices: We prioritize student safety by maintaining allergen-aware environments and adhering to strict food preparation standards.
Key Features of Our Program
- Daily Meal Offerings: A variety of nutritious meals and beverages are served to students, fostering balanced eating habits and promoting healthy growth and development.
- Collaborative Nutrition Education: Our school staff, including health suite and dining hall personnel, collaborate to integrate nutrition education into daily learning, equipping students with lifelong skills to make informed dietary choices.
- Family and Community Engagement: Parents and community members are encouraged to participate in promoting healthy eating habits both on campus and at home.
School Breakfast Program
The School Breakfast Program (SBP) provides reimbursement to states to operate nonprofit breakfast programs in schools and residential childcare institutions. The Food and Nutrition Service administers the SBP at the federal level. State education agencies administer the SBP at the state level, and local school food authorities operate the program in schools.
School Lunch Program
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. The program was established under the National School Lunch Act, signed by President Harry Truman in 1946.
