Help a Student Start the School Year with Confidence

A new school year should be a time of possibility—a fresh start filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and discover what comes next.

But for many of the young people served by Everstand, starting school can come with challenges that go far beyond a school supply list. As they navigate instability, trauma, and circumstances beyond their control, youth may need extra academic support, opportunities to explore their interests, and encouragement that helps them walk into the classroom feeling prepared and confident.

With your support, we can help ensure every student has the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to learn, grow, and thrive—inside the classroom and beyond.

A School Year of Hope Begins with YOU!

Everstand Scholarship Recipient Enrolled at Coppin State University

When Karmyn arrived at Everstand, she came ready for a fresh start. With determination and heart, she embraced every chance to grow—boosting her school attendance, reducing AWOLs, and diving into life skills that prepared her for independence.

Her dedication paid off. Karmyn graduated from Randallstown High School, received the James and Lois Mathis Award for Community Service, and began her studies at Coppin State University to pursue her dream of becoming a social worker.

Karmyn's decision to pursue a degree in social work is not just a career path—it’s a calling. She wants to support children in the system—kids like her—because she knows firsthand how life-changing it can be to have someone who truly listens and cares.
