Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with the Caminos Programs

Last month, the Caminos program teams in West Virginia and Pennsylvania came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month — a time dedicated to honoring the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories that shape Hispanic and Latino communities.

The celebration was filled with food, music, and games that reflected the vibrant spirit and creativity of Hispanic culture. Staff and youth shared favorite dishes from their home countries, danced to traditional rhythms, and laughed over friendly competitions and storytelling.

Beyond the festivities, the event was a heartfelt reflection on unity, resilience, and joy. Participants embraced the opportunity to connect through shared experiences, honoring both their individual journeys and the collective strength that defines their communities.

Moments like these remind us that heritage is not just about where we come from — it’s about coming together, celebrating one another, and keeping traditions alive for the next generation.
