What is a YCP?

At Everstand, our work centers on the belief that every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and capable of building a brighter future. Youth Care Professionals are at the heart of that mission.

This role isn’t about just being present in the room. As a YCP, you’ll work one-on-one with youth ages 12–20, guiding daily routines, encouraging them through tough moments, and celebrating the small wins that add up over time. Many of these young people have lived through loss, instability, or trauma. What they need most is someone who shows up consistently—someone they can trust.

If you’ve never worked in childcare or direct care before, that’s okay. What matters more is who you are and what you bring to the table. If you’re patient, dependable, and willing to learn, we’ll provide the rest. Our paid new hire orientation program and team onboarding will give you the tools and mindset you need to succeed in this work.
